Minister Shafqat Ali delivered a powerful message of unity and national strength at a special fundraising event, emphasizing that Canada’s greatest strength lies in its united and diverse people.
Speaking about the country’s future, Member of Parliament. Brampton Chinguacousy Park and President of the Treasury Board Minister Shafqat Ali said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mark Carney, the government is working to build a stronger and more resilient Canadian economy while creating better opportunities, stronger social supports and improved services for Canadians.
Highlighting Canada’s economic outlook, the Minister said the country’s economic growth is accelerating and that Canada is expected to rank among the G7’s fastest-growing economies over the next two years.
According to the Minister, Canada’s pace of job creation has reached as much as four times that of the United States, while Canadian exports to non-U.S. markets are expected to see significant growth in the coming years.
He further noted that foreign direct investment in Canada is at its highest level in two decades, while Canada continues to emerge as one of the world’s most attractive destinations for infrastructure investment.
Minister Shafqat Ali delivered a clear and powerful message about Canada’s future:
“Canada has what the world wants. We will set our own course and keep building Canada strong for all.”
The Minister emphasized that Canada will chart its own path forward and that no other country should have the power to determine Canada’s future.
