Six Militants Killed in Security Operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur
Security forces killed six militants during an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur district of Balochistan, according to an official statement issued on Friday.
The operation was carried out after reports of the presence of militants in the area. Security personnel targeted multiple locations, leading to an exchange of fire in which six militants were neutralised.
Authorities said weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices and vehicles were recovered during the operation. The militants were allegedly involved in various terrorist activities in the region.
Security forces have launched follow-up clearance operations to ensure the area is free of any remaining threats.
Officials reaffirmed their commitment to continuing counter-terrorism operations across the country, particularly in areas affected by militant violence.
The operation comes amid heightened security efforts in Balochistan following recent terrorist incidents, including a deadly blast in Quetta that resulted in multiple casualties.
