Since commencing operations in Canada on March 22, 2001, HCB has established itself as a trusted financial institution, providing a comprehensive range of banking and financial services while building lasting relationships with clients, businesses and communities across the country.
The bank’s Silver Jubilee celebration brought together members of the HCB team, distinguished guests, clients and partners to recognize the institution’s achievements over the past 25 years and to look ahead to its future in Canada.
The event was attended by H.E. Olaf Kjelsen, Ambassador of Switzerland to Canada and the Caribbean, who served as Chief Guest. His presence highlighted the strong relationship between Canada and Switzerland and added significance to the milestone celebration.
The gathering also featured the participation of Muhammad Habib, Member of the Board of Directors, and Mohamedali R. Habib, Group CEO of Habib Bank AG Zurich, whose presence reflected the enduring legacy and international vision behind Habib Canadian Bank.
A particularly memorable moment of the evening was the recognition of Muslim Hassan, Founding Chief Executive Officer of Habib Canadian Bank, for his exceptional leadership and contribution to the bank’s development over the past 25 years.
During the celebration, I had the opportunity to meet Dawood Khan, the newly appointed President of Habib Canadian Bank, and conveyed best wishes for his new leadership role and the bank’s continued success.
The 25-year journey of HCB represents more than a corporate milestone. It reflects a story built on trust, dedication, resilience, professional excellence and strong relationships with clients and communities.
Over the years, the bank has continued to evolve with Canada’s changing economic and financial landscape while maintaining its commitment to serving its customers and strengthening long-term partnerships.
The Silver Jubilee celebration provided an opportunity to acknowledge the people whose dedication helped shape HCB’s journey, while also celebrating the trust placed in the institution by its clients and partners.
As Habib Canadian Bank enters its next chapter, the milestone serves as both a celebration of its achievements and a reminder of its commitment to continued growth, innovation and service.
Twenty five years of trust have built a strong foundation and the next chapter promises new opportunities, stronger partnerships and continued success in Canada.
