At a press conference held in Mississauga, Canada, leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) Canada strongly condemned what they described as a coordinated social media campaign and baseless allegations targeting Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar.
The party leaders stated that certain elements are deliberately spreading negative propaganda against Pakistan and attempting to undermine the country’s leadership and national institutions. They called for those responsible to be identified and exposed, alleging that false information and misleading narratives are being used to damage Pakistan’s development, stability, and international reputation.
Addressing the media, PML-N Canada President Sohail Warraich said that linking Ishaq Dar to the matter and making what he described as baseless allegations against him is unacceptable. He emphasized that overseas Pakistanis will continue to support Pakistan’s development, economic stability, and national unity, while rejecting what the party views as negative propaganda.
Other party leaders also expressed solidarity with Ishaq Dar, stating that, in their view, false narratives and misleading social media campaigns against Pakistan are contrary to the country’s national interests and should be discouraged.
The press conference was attended by PML-N Canada President Sohail Warraich, Deputy Secretary Shakir Javed, Senior Vice President Chaudhry Irfan Gujjar, Saima Hameed, Irfan Jatt, Afzal Cheema, Pir Adnan Boodla, Tahir Nawaz, and Haroon Ayubi, all of whom jointly expressed their support and solidarity with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
