US Praises Pakistan’s Role in Middle East Peace Efforts After Dar–Rubio Meeting
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace in the Middle East during talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Washington.
Following the meeting, Rubio highlighted Pakistan’s contribution to encouraging dialogue and supporting efforts to reduce tensions in the region. He also noted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
According to official statements, the discussions were held in a cordial atmosphere and focused on regional developments as well as broader international issues.
Pakistan’s foreign office said both sides expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of relations and exchanged views on evolving geopolitical challenges.
Speaking separately, Ishaq Dar said Pakistan had played a constructive role in facilitating dialogue and creating conditions for diplomatic engagement between key regional actors.
He added that Pakistan continues to pursue a policy of promoting peace and stability while strengthening its international partnerships.
The meeting comes amid ongoing diplomatic activity involving the United States and regional countries as efforts continue to address tensions in the Middle East.
