First Hajj flight to depart for Saudi Arabia on April 18

Islamabad: The Hajj flight operation from Pakistan will begin on April 18 and continue until May 21, as pilgrims travel to Saudi Arabia under the government Hajj scheme for Hajj 2026.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, a total of 468 flights will operate during the pilgrimage season, connecting eight cities across Pakistan with Madinah and Jeddah.

The operation will be carried out in collaboration with multiple airlines, including national and private carriers, along with Saudi Airlines. On the opening day, four flights are scheduled to depart for Madinah.

Officials said that during the initial phase of the operation, all pilgrims will first travel to Madinah before proceeding to other holy sites. A total of 186 flights are scheduled for Madinah, while 282 flights will operate to Jeddah.

Under the government scheme, approximately 119,000 Pakistani pilgrims will travel for Hajj. The ministry stated that both male and female pilgrims are included in the programme in large numbers.

Flights will operate from major cities including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Multan, Sialkot, Faisalabad, and Sukkur, with varying numbers of departures scheduled from each location.

The ministry has advised pilgrims to check their flight details through the official Hajj mobile application and website for updated information.
