Authorities have arrested all five suspects involved in the killing of a businessman during a robbery in Islamabad within 24 hours of the incident.
The victim, who was shot by armed robbers at a farmhouse, succumbed to his injuries a day later while undergoing treatment.
Officials said the suspects belonged to an organised criminal gang operating across multiple regions, with links extending beyond the capital. The group was described as highly coordinated and involved in serious criminal activities.
Law enforcement agencies carried out raids in several cities, leading to the arrest of all individuals, including the alleged ringleader.
Police revealed that modern investigative techniques, including advanced data analysis and surveillance tools, were used to trace the suspects. Dozens of individuals were questioned, and extensive call data was examined during the investigation.
Authorities stated that the attackers had disarmed the victim’s security guard during the robbery and escaped with weapons and valuables.
Officials also claimed that overall crime in the capital has declined compared to the previous year, while efforts are underway to further improve policing and urban security systems.
