Hundreds Gather for an Unforgettable Day of Friendship, Culture, and Community Spirit

The spirit of community was on full display as Member of Parliament Iqra Khalid hosted her much anticipated Annual Community BBQ, bringing together families, friends, community leaders, and residents from across Mississauga Erin Mills for a memorable day of celebration, connection, and togetherness.
The vibrant event featured delicious food, family-friendly activities, live performances by talented local organizations, and entertainment for all ages, creating an atmosphere filled with joy, laughter, and community pride. Children enjoyed exciting activities while families spent quality time together, reflecting the inclusive and multicultural character that defines Mississauga.
The Annual Community BBQ also welcomed several distinguished guests, including MP Fares Al Soud, MP Aslam Rana, MPP Sheref Sabawy, along with numerous community leaders, volunteers, and local organizations who contributed to the event’s success.
Addressing attendees, MP Iqra Khalid expressed her appreciation to everyone who participated, volunteered, performed, and supported the event. She emphasized that bringing neighbours together, strengthening friendships, and celebrating the diversity of the community remain at the heart of this annual tradition.
