KARACHI: Hyderabad Kingsmen registered their first win of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 with a four-wicket victory over Karachi Kings at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on Saturday.

It was the Kingsmen’s maiden win in their debut season after suffering four consecutive defeats earlier in the tournament.

Chasing a target of 189, Hyderabad Kingsmen overcame early setbacks to complete the run chase in the final over, driven by a crucial unbeaten partnership in the lower order.

The innings saw brief but aggressive contributions from the top order, including a quick cameo from captain Marnus Labuschagne, while Maaz Sadaqat and Usman Khan built a 60-run stand to stabilise the chase. However, a mid-innings collapse saw the side slip to 112 for 5.

A key recovery came from the lower order, as Hassan Khan and Irfan added an unbeaten 50-run partnership to steer the team home. Hassan played a decisive knock, while Irfan also contributed a steady innings under pressure.

For Karachi Kings, Abbas Afridi picked up two wickets, while Hasan Ali, Khushdil Shah, Adam Zampa and Salman Ali Agha claimed one wicket each.

Earlier, Karachi Kings posted a total of 188 for 8 in their 20 overs after electing to bat first, despite losing an early wicket in the opening over.
