Veteran Lollywood actor Asim Bukhari passed away on Thursday, according to his family. He was 76 years old.
The respected actor had been dealing with serious health problems for quite some time, including kidney and heart-related illnesses. Family members shared that he fell into a coma on Wednesday night and later passed away. Prior to his death, he had been admitted to a hospital for about two weeks as his health condition worsened.
Funeral prayers for the late actor will be held after Asr at a Jamia Mosque located near his home in Lahore.
Throughout his career, Asim Bukhari built a strong reputation in Pakistan’s entertainment industry. He appeared in numerous television dramas, stage productions, and films, and was widely appreciated for his versatility and acting talent.
Following the news of his passing, many members of the showbiz community expressed their grief and offered tributes, acknowledging his valuable contributions to the industry.
Meanwhile, his son, Jalal Bukhari, is currently receiving medical treatment in London after being diagnosed with gallstones.
